Renal function in patients with heart failure — a predictor for selecting RAAS inhibitors

Over the last few years, there has been an increasing trend in prevalence of chronic kidney diseases (CKD) patients with heart failure (CHF). CKD is a well-known comorbidity failure, associated lower survival rates, while cardiovascular complications are leading cause death among CKD. The ability to identify early CHF critical for estimating prognosis, developing treatment strategy and tactics, ultimately preventing renal complications. Considering CHF, it important develop strategies administration renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors view their nephroprotective action antiproteinuric antiproliferative effects that can be also improved survival. An angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor such as fosinopril appears particularly beneficial patients. Fosinopril undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis primarily liver gastrointestinal mucosa converted fosinoprilat which eliminated equally by kidneys liver. In dysfunction, decreased elimination urine compensated increased hepatic metabolism. Fosinoprilat exhibits less accumulation than enalapril or lisinopril CDK.
